Reverse route while navigating/recording

I keep finding myself in situations where I have a map downloaded and need to navigate/record in the reverse direction that is saved.  for example, I may choose to do a loop in revers, or choose to start a hike at and endpoint rather than the start point.  

It would be amazing to have a feature for downloaded maps that allow you to revers the saved route.  This will provide more accurate elevation and distance left information while recording or navigating.
