AllTrails recently introduced a new Explore feature for the AllTrails mobile app called 'Collections.'
With Collections, you can easily locate trails that meet certain criteria.
Collections are pre-set groups of trails organised by various trail features and filters. You can use a collection to find trails based on specific features unique to the area you are searching. Some examples might be Waterfalls, Lakes, Beaches, Wildflowers, Deserts, Mountains, Epic views, or Among Trees. You can also use a collection to view trails that are Nearby, Dog or Child-friendly, as well as Top Picks or Hidden Gems.
Now, with our recent update, you can use a Park collection to locate nearby parks and discover trails designated within local and national parks!
Collections are accessible from the top of the Explore tab, just under the search bar.
- Open the AllTrails mobile app
- Tap the Explore tab in the bottom left
- Under the search bar, you'll find the available Collections.
Selecting the Park Collection will automatically update the results to only show parks in the map and list.
If there are no parks nearby, you'll receive a “No results nearby” message in the empty Collection and an option to begin a new search.
In Map View, selecting a park will generate a boundary around the park limits, allowing you to view its size.
You can swipe up on the drawer at the bottom of the screen to view any available parks in list view.
Selecting any park from the list view will open the corresponding park page. AllTrails park pages are the best place to find park hours, fees, the most popular trails, and all other information you need from parks worldwide.
