AllTrails is now available in fourteen languages: Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. We realise you may have some questions around how to change the settings related to language.
Marketing language
If you prefer to adjust the language setting related to marketing content, such as emails and notifications, you can do so by following these steps:
Via desktop or laptop computer:
- Log in to your account on https://www.alltrails.com
- At the top right of any page, hover over your profile image and in the drop-down select ‘Settings’
- Scroll down until you see the 'Marketing language' field
- Select your language preference from the drop-down menu and click 'Save' at the bottom
Via the iPhone or Android app:
- Open the AllTrails app
- Tap on 'Profile' on the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the Settings icon (
) at the top right corner and scroll down to 'marketing language' - Select your language
AllTrails.com language
To adjust the language for using the alltrails.com website, go to the bottom of the page and in the footer on the right hand side there is a language selector drop down. Use the selector to choose your language.
AllTrails app language
The AllTrails app uses the language on your phone to detect which language the app will display in. If you wish to change the language of your app (back to English for instance) you will have to change the language on your device.
You can change the language settings on your phone by following these steps:
Via iPhone:
- Go to Settings >> General >> Language & Region
- Select iPhone language and select one of the languages we support
Via Android:
Pixel devices
- Go to settings >> system >> languages & input
- Move your preferred language to the top
Samsung devices
- Go to settings >> general management >> languages & input
- Move your preferred language to the top
