If you're an AllTrails+ member, you have the ability to download maps to your phone for offline use.
Once you're offline, you can access your downloaded maps by following these steps:
- Open the AllTrails app
- Tap on 'Saved' on the bottom navigation bar
- Select 'Downloads' from the tabs at the top of the screen
We strongly recommend checking your maps while you have a data connection to confirm that your files will be available offline. Maps that aren't listed in your 'Downloads' section and don't have a green circle in the bottom-right corner are not saved locally on your phone. They must be downloaded in order to access them offline.
Note: Apple's operating system will intermittently and randomly delete cached data from any app on your phone in order to free up space. We unfortunately don't have any control over this, so we strongly recommend checking your maps while you have a data connection to confirm that your files will be available. Maps that don't have a green circle in the bottom-right corner of their trail card on the Maps screen are not saved locally on your phone. They must be re-downloaded in order to access them offline, which you can do by tapping on the round circle icon.
