When making a map in QuickDraw, you can add photos by looking on the left side of the screen and scrolling down to the 'Photos' section, under Waypoints. Click the blue 'Upload Photos' button and then drag and drop your photos into the box or use the green 'Upload' button to search for files to upload.
If you don’t already have photos of the area you’re going to, you may be able to add photos from other users that have hiked in the same area. This can help you navigate by providing landmarks in key areas.
You can do this by following these steps:
- Connect your map to a trail by hitting the small 'Edit' link next to the map’s rating in the top left and then selecting a nearby trail if any are available
- Turn on 'Photos overlay' and 'red dots' representing user photos will appear
- Hover on them to preview, click to see a full view, and click 'Save to My Map' to add them to your custom map
- You can turn off the 'Photos overlay' and the photos you have added will be displayed
These photos will also sync to your phone and will be accessible offline for reference while hiking.
To remove the photos that have been added to your map, click on the photo on the left side of the screen and then click 'Remove Photo.'
