AllTrails will run occasionally to sync data in the background. We’re currently configured to wake up once every 6 hours and if there are no changes (or no network connection) the app will go right back to sleep, so we are using almost no resources. If there are changes, AllTrails should run for only a few seconds.
If you want to prevent anything from being done in the background, logging out of the app will prevent any of the scheduled jobs from firing (since there’s nothing to sync if there’s no user).
You can log out of your account by following these steps:
- Open the AllTrails app
- Tap on 'Profile' on the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the Settings icon (
) at the top right corner
- Tap 'Logout'
