Map type missing when offline
I usually download all of my hikes in map type Alltrails and Satellite. Recently I noticed Map Type option never comes up when I do not have cell coverage. But I will still get the Alltrails type downloaded map. A lot of my hikes involve off trail bushwacking, so satellite is nice to have to avoid obstacles.
To test if this is a bug with the app, I downloaded every map type available for one of my hikes (Alltrails, Satellite, USGS Topo, Road, terrain, OCM, OSM, World Parks). I then put my phone on airplane mode, and checked and Map type was still unavailable, but it still gave me the Alltrails type downloaded map.
The interesting thing is I turned off airplane mode, deleted all the downloaded maps except Satellite, went into airplane mode and loaded up the hike. Map type still doesn't come up, but it now shows the Satellite map for the hike.
For now I can just have the same hike saved as two different hikes, one with the Alltrails map downloaded, and the other one with the satellite map downloaded and I can toggle between the two hikes.
This is something that just started in the past couple months. I've already uninstalled Alltrails from my phone. I tried changing my alltrails password, and I've tried resetting my Alltrails app on my phone too.
I might just search for an older version of alltrails on APKMirror since this is a bug. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro.
