Filter by remoteness, degree of isolation from civilization

I live in the NYC metro area and whenever I want to hike, I go somewhere 50-100 miles away from the city and hike there. Alltrails, however, keeps suggesting High Line Park, Brooklyn Bridge and other "nearby" locations. I would love to be able to exclude some areas from suggestions and manual search.

A few potential solutions are:

• Make "distance away" a range, not a single value. I then could specify minimal distance of 20 miles, which should be good enough to exclude the city.
• Allow to draw the boundaries of areas to be excluded. I can total draw the wall around the city.
• Some smarter filtering like "nature"/"rural"/"urban".
