Downloaded Map has Lower Resolution - How to improve?

Hi Folks,

 

  I've been using AllTrails for years and have started relying on it for hiking in areas without cell service. As such, I'm pre-downloading maps and using those. Once in the field I'm realizing that I can't see the details (ex small pools, lake names, brooks, etc.) I was used to seeing during my preparations while connected to the internet.

 On to my question: How do I increase the resolution of downloaded maps (AllTrails and/or Satellite) so it matches what I see when connected? I have the drive space.

  Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about the poor resolution on your map downloads. Downloading a large map or map area can cause this issue. In these instances, we'd recommend breaking up the map into smaller sections, then downloading those individually. If you are still running into issues with these smaller map areas, please send us an email to support@alltrails.com so that we can help troubleshoot.

  I have same question, this is a major limitation with the app. Can someone with AllTrails give an answer?

  The new update has removed the higher resolution AllTrails mapping system and replaced with the lesser MapBox mapping system. Sad that this happened
