Rail trail road crossings

Is there a minimum width for the distance between posts at the road crossings of rail trails? My concern is with a trike I need about 34" to clear the posts.

  Hi - In the US if there is pedestrian traffic on the path it is typically between 3 and 5 feet wide between bollards. 3 ft (36 inches) is the minimum required by the ADA for public spaces. However if it’s a private area, they may not follow these rules.
