"Nice Photo/Waypoint" pops up every time I open app during navigation

During my recent hiking trip, the pop-up thanking me for adding a waypoint/photo appeared EVERY time I checked the app. I got a pop-up for EVERY waypoint/photo I saved. By the end of the hike I had to tap through over a dozen pop-ups before I could do anything in the app. Restarting my phone cleared all of the previous pop-ups, but started again when I added more waypoints.

  Use your phone camera app to take photos and add them after you finish.
