We hope to welcome you to the AllTrails community and realize you may have some questions about your previous iFootpath account and data before coming on board. Please review this FAQ and if you still have questions you can always reach out to support@alltrails.com.
Can I still view my data on iFootpath?
You will be able to see your iFootpath data on the iFootpath website for a period of time by logging in here: https://www.ifootpath.com/log-in/ or by signing in to the iFootpath iOS or Android app.
How do I import my data to AllTrails?
You can simply sign in to AllTrails using your iFootpath email (not username) and your iFootpath password. If you don’t remember your iFootpath password, you can use the AllTrails 'Forgot Password' link here: https://www.alltrails.com/users/password/new
If you have both an iFootpath account and an AllTrails account with the SAME email address, just sign in to AllTrails using your same email address and your AllTrails password. If you don’t remember your AllTrails password, you can use the AllTrails 'Forgot Password' link above.
If you have both an iFootpath account and an AllTrails account with DIFFERENT email addresses, we can easily merge the two accounts. First you must log out of your existing AllTrails account in the AllTrails app and log into AllTrails with your iFootpath account information to activate that account. Then email support@alltrails.com and let us know that you would like your accounts merged and which email address you would like to retain for login.
Please note: If you have an existing AllTrails account and are logged in with that account on the website or in the iOS or Android apps, please log out and log in again to start the import of your iFootpath data.
What data will be imported into AllTrails and how do I see it?
The first time you log in to AllTrails, your iFootpath data, including your favorite list, completed list, walk ratings and comments, photos, and GPX/GPS tracks, will automatically be imported into your new AllTrails account. These tracks (at AllTrails, we call them 'Recordings') will go directly into your AllTrails account under your 'Recordings.'
By default, these will be imported as private AllTrails recordings and will only be visible to you. You can always change these recordings to be public if you would like to share them with other AllTrails users, and your friends or family (see below for details).
You can access your recordings by following these steps:
Via desktop or laptop computer:
- Log in to your account on https://www.alltrails.com
- Hover over 'History' in the header
- Click on 'Recordings'
Via iPhone or Android app:
- Open the AllTrails app
- Tap on 'History' on the bottom navigation bar
- Select 'Recordings' from the drop down-menu (iPhone) or tabs (Android) at the top
How do I make my recordings public so I can share them?
If you wish to make those recordings public, you can do so by following these steps:
Via desktop or laptop computer:
- Log in to your account on https://www.alltrails.com
- Hover over 'History' in the header and click 'Recordings'
- Click your recording and click 'Edit' (next to the Recording's name)
- Uncheck the box 'Make this recording private'. Save by clicking 'Update'
Via iPhone or Android app:
- Open the AllTrails app
- Tap 'History' on the bottom navigation bar
- Select 'Recordings' along the tabs at the top of the page
- Tap the recording that you would like to edit
- Tap the overflow menu (three dots) in the upper right corner and select 'Edit'
- Select the ‘Recording Info’ tab (next to 'Review Trail')
- Under Private, toggle the button to change the recording from private to public (the green button will become blank)
Comment rendre mon profil privé ?
All of your recordings will automatically be set to private however by default, your profile will be public and visible to the AllTrails community. You can change your profile to be private by following the steps in this article here.
What if I do not want to import my content?
We are not currently importing your content into the AllTrails platform unless you log into AllTrails with your iFootpath email.
