Prevent Navigation from accidentally stopping
Too often, when I'm on a hike and I have the navigation running, when I put the phone in my pocket, some how the phone turns on and a different app may be displayed or the app closes and I've lost all navigation. This happened last weekend and I was pretty pissed.
I usually minimize the app but this is no guarantee that the navigation will be displayed when I turn on my phone. I believe you have to hold the pause button in order to stop Navigation so I have no idea how that's happening when it's in my pocket.
You need to implement a feature that prevents the navigation from quitting without user intervention. I have a fingerprint scanner and maybe you can require that to stop navigation while it's running.

I just had the same problem and sent an email to support asking for help. They have implemented a "press and hold" to pause feature which probably helps with accidental pauses. But, somehow I accidentally "finished" a trail when I was only halfway through. I could not find a way to "resume" and just had to restart where I was on the trail.
