Can I pause an activity without stopping the line recording?

I want to pause my activity but when I start up it doesn't add a stop and start point, to have the line be continuous.

How can I do this

  Hi Kevin - Unfortunately, this is not something that is currently possible. If you pause your recording, there will be a gap in any area covered while paused. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes!
