Improve Lifeline UI
This is for both iOS and Android. (IMO it doesn't make sense to have two different categories; there should be just one Mobile Feature Requests category.)
I use Lifeline no more than once a month and most times the same (IMO) poor UI things trip me up:
1. I open the Lifeline settings page to start a new Lifeline session, review the settings, get to the bottom, and can't figure out why the Message Contacts button is greyed out. After 30 seconds of cursing I finally see the Send bottom at the top.
2. My contact gets a message from AllTrails but in the middle of my hike reports that Lifeline says I haven't responded (or similar). I open the app and see that I haven't pressed the Start button.
So I'm proposing some minor changes to the Lifeline UI:
1. Move the Send button to the bottom, beside the Message and End buttons. (a) All the actions should be together. (b) More importantly, when I start a new Lifeline session I review all the settings, so I naturally wind up at the bottom of the screen. Hiding the Send button at the top of the screen just doesn't make sense.
2. Get rid of the Start button. Most of the time I'm going to start the Lifeline session when I start my hike, so make the Start automatic when I press Send. If you really think people want to be able to set things up ahead of time, add a Save Draft button beside the Send button.
