Search Activities

Will we be able to search our Activities in the App at some point? I have so many recordings, and often want to go back and redo a hike. I would like to search for an old activity, download and load the route into recorder to navigate. Right now, I have to search for the activity while I am on my PC to find the date, then go back to the mobile App and scroll and scroll and scroll to get back to the date of the hike to find it and download the route. It would be great to be able to do everything from the mobile App.

BTW, you can search activities on the iPhone App - just not Android.  I have a Google Pixel 5 running the latest O/S.

    This is no longer available on iOS either for some reason.  I had to go and find it on my computer and save it to a folder and then access it on my phone.

    Je/Ted, I had been able to search for my saved tracks (Activities) in the iPhone app since 2016 when I started using it. A recent update, probably April/May 2023, put the historical activities in your profile and took away the function that allowed to search on those historical activities. This is absolutely ridiculous and takes away about 95% of my usage, other than tracking my activities , and looking up others. As you said, I now have to scroll down through the historical activities to find a hike of interest that I need to review for the actual route and or stats of the activity. I have 477 activity saved in AllTrails. This is an absolutely ridiculous change that I wish others would send complaints about. Not sure how to accomplish that and don’t know of another app that is simple to use and gives me what I want. I’ve already sent an email to support but I’m sure that will get me nowhere. Any ideas?

    Debi - Like you, I couldn't believe that they would remove such an important and valuable feature just to "tweak" the user interface.  I immediately logged a case with support thinking this had to be a developer oversight.  The response from support was not really helpful, only saying that you could no longer search your Activites with the new layout, and the rep would escalate to the Product Team.  Fortunately, I have received another App update recently, and the ability to search Activities has returned.  Keep an eye out for the update to hit your phone, and thankfully we have this once again.  Let's hope they don't decide to remove it again in the future.

    Je-I haven't had an AllTrails update since May 22.....don't the updates go out to all users at once?  I'll keep watching and thanks for the info--I sure hope you're right!!

    That's interesting. For me, it was a recent App update that moved Activities under Profile and removed search. Another update just added back the search bar for Activities, but Activities remains under Profile

    I've used the search many time is the past and really miss this feature. AllTrails Support please have the developers fix this on both the IOS and the Android Apps

    Please return the search function for my activities. It is an essential feature. Not worth the cost of subscription if this is not restored. AllTrails Support - your attention please.

    It is critical that you return the Search function for historical Activities on both Android and IPhone apps. I agree it’s not worth the money if this isn’t done.

    I am so frustrated that this was removed.  I have sent emails and commented on the ap stores as well.  Just get the same lame canned response as the others.  

    another helpful tool would be to date these comments so we know what is new.

    UPDATE: Hallelujah, after several emails to the All Trails support group, multiple posts on the AllTrails Facebook page, and the help of several others that I know of…..the search function for historical Activities has been restored, at least on my iPhone app. They are still located at Profile-Activities, but AllTrails finally came to their senses and added the Search function back!!!!! If you registered a complaint and are so inclined, please post a thank you on the AllTrails FB page for listening to their valued customers 😊.

    I just saw Debi's update after my post a few hours ago. I checked and the ap on my android phone has the search function back! As Debi said...hallelujah! Thanks for listening all trails.

    Pleased to see posts from Debi and Lori but the search function on my iPhone hasn’t been restored. Did you receive an app update before it was restored? I haven’t.

    I didn’t see an actual update…..I just went in to scroll thru my Activities to try and find a trail and saw that the Search line was there.

    After I posted my comment, I went to check my iPad all trails app and it did not have the search feature yet. But my Android does.

    Great!  I just force updated my app on my iPhone and it has that search function restored for Activities but still under Profile.
