Compass reorients map, but also takes you to your current location.

When tapping on the compass icon when using the map in the Explore section, the map is reoriented so that north is up (expected), but the map also goes to my current location (unexpected and not a good experience at all). All other map apps that I've used use the compass icon to rotate the map and nothing else. There is already a "current location" button to show me my current location on the map, so I highly suspect this is a bug. Android app, Pixel 4a 5G, version 13.3.2 (9755).

  Yes, this is very annoying.

  Came here to mention this same problem. It's a trail app. We need to know where north is.
