How do I export a GPX file from AllTrails?


One of the great benefits of AllTrails Pro is that you can download GPX files via desktop or laptop computer on alltrails.com and use them on your own GPS device. GPX files can be downloaded from four different places by following these steps:


 From a trail page: 

  1. Log in to your account on alltrails.com via desktop or laptop computer
  2. Open the trail page of which you'd like to download
  3. Hover over 'More' and click on 'Download GPX'


 From one of your recordings: 

  1. Log in to your account on alltrails.com via desktop or laptop computer
  2. In the top bar, hover over 'History' and select 'Recordings' 
  3. Click on the recording and click the blue 'Download GPX'  button


From another member's recording: 

  1. Log in to your account on alltrails.com via desktop or laptop computer
  2. Open the trail page of which you'd like to download
  3. Scroll down to find 'Recordings' on the left side bar
  4. Click on the recording you would like to download 
  5. On the recording page, click the blue 'Download GPX'  button


 From your custom map: 

  1. Log in to your account on alltrails.com via desktop or laptop computer
  2. In the top bar, hover over 'Plan' and select 'Maps'
  3. Click on the desired map and click the blue 'Download GPX' button

Importing to your GPS device:

Once the GPX file has exported to your desktop, use the software provided by your GPS device maker or Expert GPS to load it onto your device.
