We've partnered with Rogers to support satellite connectivity to our iOS and Android apps. Rogers Satellite users in Canada are now able to use key AllTrails features in areas without cellular service, including route navigation, searching and filtering trails, and viewing trail details. AllTrails Plus members will also be able to live-share their activities and locations via Rogers Satellite.

Are there any app features that won't work well with Rogers Satellite?
Because of the nature and speed of satellite connection, there are a few AllTrails app features that won't be accessible while using Rogers Satellite:
- uploading photos
- map downloads
- 3D trail previews
- animated trail recaps
- community features
- real-time plant, mushroom, and insect identification with Outdoor Lens (your scans will be saved in your logbook and ready to identify when you're back online)
- The Explore tab and searching within maps are available with Rogers Satellite, but you may experience slower load times
- You'll be able to submit reviews while connected with Rogers Satellite, but they won't sync to your account or be visible to you until you're back within cellular service or wifi
- For optimal feature access in remote areas, AllTrails Plus members can combine map downloads in advance with Rogers Satellite coverage on-trail to use AllTrails anywhere
