If you're currently a Plus member, Peak helps you take your adventure to the next level with in-app Custom Routes, Community Heatmaps, and Outdoor Lens. The steps to upgrade will vary depending on your original Plus subscription method, but you can use the 'Manage subscription' option in the app or on our website as a starting point, and this will point you in the right direction to upgrade to Peak.
From the app:
- Tap the profile icon at bottom right
- Tap the settings gear icon at top right
- Tap 'Manage subscription' under 'Account', then follow the steps to upgrade
On AllTrails.com:
- Hover over your profile image at top right, then click 'Settings'
- Click 'Subscription' in the left sidebar, then follow the steps to upgrade
If you're subscribed directly through AllTrails:
Upgrade steps
- Log into AllTrails.com

Go to the Profile menu:
- On a computer, tap your avatar in the top right corner of the page
- On a phone, tap the menu icon in the top right, then tap 'Account'
- Select 'Unlock more with Peak'
- Provide your credit card details and click 'Continue with Peak' to complete the purchase
Billing details
- You'll receive a prorated refund for your unused months of Plus
- You'll then be charged for a new Peak subscription at full price
- This will initiate a new 12-month billing period from the start of your Peak subscription
If you're subscribed through Apple:
Upgrade steps
If you're still using an iOS device:
- Open the AllTrails app on your iOS device
- Tap 'Profile' on the bottom navigation bar
- Tap 'Unlock more features' and confirm your payment information
- Tap 'Continue with Peak' to complete the purchase
If you no longer have access to your iOS device:
- In any web browser, visit Apple subscriptions
- Log in using your Apple account
- On the 'Subscriptions' page, click the AllTrails app
- Click 'See all plans' > choose 'Peak' > complete purchase

- If your latest Plus subscription charge was less than 30 days ago, you can request a cancellation and refund from Scout, our Support Bot. You can access Scout by clicking the chat icon at the bottom right corner of this page. After the bot confirms your cancellation and refund, you'll be able to upgrade to Peak on your preferred platform.
- If your latest Plus subscription charge was more than 30 days ago, you can email support@alltrails.com and our team will help you to navigate the upgrade.
Billing details
- You'll be charged for a new Peak subscription at full price
- The remaining time and value of your Plus subscription will be applied to the duration of your Peak subscription, extending it beyond 12 months
FAQs
Can I upgrade through a different platform from which I used to sign up?
No, you must upgrade to Peak via the same platform as your active Plus subscription.
Can I get a Peak trial?
Current Plus members are not eligible for a free trial of Peak.
What if I'm in a Plus trial right now?
You can go ahead and upgrade! You'll have access to Peak features for the remainder of your trial — and you'll be charged for a Peak subscription when your trial ends.
Will my account history transfer over?
All your data — including saved trails, profile, and activity history — will remain intact.
