How to control who can follow you

If you’d like to approve who can follow you, you'll need to turn on the follower request setting in your privacy settings:

Via iPhone or Android app: 

1. Tap your profile image at top right
2. Tap the Settings gear icon at top right
3. Select 'Privacy Settings' toward the bottom of the 'Account' section
4. Select 'Yes' next to 'Require follow requests' then tap 'Save'

Via desktop or laptop:

1. Log into your account on https://www.alltrails.com 
2. At the top right of any page, hover over your profile image and in the drop-down select ‘Settings’
3. Under 'Account Settings' in the right panel, click 'Privacy settings'
4. Select 'Yes' next to 'Require follower requests' then click 'Apply'
5. Click 'Save'

When another AllTrails member requests to follow you, you'll see a notification for pending follow requests on your profile page the next time you log in.
