If you've driven off by accident without stopping your Navigate session, or you'd like to trim the end of your activity recording, you can edit your activity's endpoint from a desktop or laptop computer. From the mobile app, you can edit either the start or the endpoint.
Via desktop or laptop computer:
- Log into your account
- Hover over your profile icon at the top right, then click 'Show profile'
- Click into the Activities tab
- Click into the activity you'd like to edit
- To adjust the endpoint, click the overflow button (3 dots) and choose 'Edit endpoint'
- Drag the round black endpoint back along your saved route to the point where you want the route to stop, click the overflow button again, and then click 'Save endpoint'
Via iPhone or Android app:
- Tap 'Activity' in the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the activity you'd like to manage
- Tap the overflow menu (3 dots) and select 'Crop activity'
- In the ‘Start’ and ‘End’ bar that appears at the bottom of the screen, drag the round black endpoint back to the point where you want the route to stop. And/Or, drag the round green startpoint back to the point where you want the route to begin
- Tap 'Save'
You can move the endpoint anywhere along your recorded path. You'll see that the endpoint is attached to the path and, when moving it, you'll see the path become transparent. This represents the area that you would be deleting from your recording.
Your endpoint needs to stay on the recorded path, so you won't be able to extend the recorded activity or place the endpoint on a location on the map where you didn't record your activity.
The area you're dragging your endpoint to will have 2 directional paths: one is the 'out' path and one is the 'back' path. You'll want to keep your endpoint on the 'back' path to avoid accidentally deleting your entire activity. We recommend zooming in on the trailhead where you want the endpoint to be saved in order to choose the correct path.
