Background syncing
AllTrails occasionally operates in the background to sync data. The app is designed to wake up approximately every 6 hours. If there are no updates or network connectivity issues, the app will quickly return to sleep mode, consuming minimal resources. When there are changes, AllTrails will run for only a few seconds.
Preventing background activity
To stop AllTrails from running in the background, you can log out of your account. This will prevent any scheduled tasks from running, as there will be no user data to sync.
You can log out of your account by following these steps:
- Open the AllTrails app
- Tap on 'Profile' on the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the Settings icon () at the top right corner
- Tap 'Logout'
By following these steps, you'll ensure that AllTrails doesn't perform any background syncing tasks.
