How to share a custom route

Whether you're planning a trip with friends or just want to share a route you created, it's easy to share your routes with others.

On AllTrails.com:

1. Log into your account
2. Hover over 'Saved' in the header and select 'Custom routes & maps'
3. Open the route you want to share
4. Click the arrow icon ('Share') in the bottom toolbar
5. Select your share method. Below is an overview of the options available:
   • Copy link: Copy the URL to send to others
   • Text: Send a link to the route via SMS
   • Email: Email a link to the route
   • Embed: Copy an embed code to display the route on your website
   • QR code: Download a QR code that others can scan to open your route on a mobile device

In the mobile app:

1. Tap 'Saved' in the bottom navigation bar
2. Select 'Lists' from the tabs at the top of the screen
3. Select 'Custom routes & maps', then select the route you want to share
4. Tap the share arrow icon in the upper right
5. Select your share method

Note: If your route is private, you won't be able to share it. You can always adjust the privacy setting of a single route.
