Before your next outdoor adventure, our Offline Parks feature allows you to pre-download everything you need, including complete park maps, the best trail routes, and essential park information like permits, fees, and accessibility details.
Offline trail pages are packed with descriptions, elevation details, trail lengths, average hiking times, reviews, photos, and so much more.
Park downloads are available to AllTrails Plus and Peak members, and can be accessed via the AllTrails mobile app. Just like downloading other maps within the app, you'll need an internet connection — either wifi or mobile data — to download.
There are two ways to download a park:
From the map
- Select a park on the map (these will have icons that look like pine trees)
- Tap the download arrow icon on the bottom right of the map
From a park page
- Tap the ‘Download’ button at the bottom of the screen
If the park you’re downloading is particularly large or you have limited service, the download may take a few minutes to complete. If you want to do other things while you wait, the download will continue in the background and we’ll notify you once it’s complete.
Once downloaded, your saved parks can be accessed through the AllTrails app by going to Saved > Parks.
FAQs
Can I remove specific trails from a park download?
Currently, it isn’t possible to remove individual trails from a park download. When you’re ready, you’ll need to remove the entire park from your downloads.
How do I remove a park download?
- Go to Saved > Parks
- Find the park you want to remove
- Tap the download icon in the top right of the downloaded park
- Select ‘Remove’, then select it again in the confirmation modal
Why is my download not working?
Please make sure you have enough space to download the full park file. You may need to remove other downloads to make space.
If your map downloads preference is set to ‘WiFi only’ but don’t have a wifi connection, you can change it to allow cellular downloads:
- Go to Profile
- Tap the gear icon at the top right of the screen for Settings
- Tap ‘Map downloads’
- Change your setting
How many reviews are available offline?
Each trail within the park will download the 10 most recent reviews so that you have the most up-to-date and relevant information.
Do recent alerts and updated information on the park page sync offline?
The park page will download new information (alerts, reviews, etc.) every time you visit the page while in cell service range. Once you lose service, you’ll have the most up-to-date information since you were last within cell service range.
