With Plus and Peak membership plans, you can download maps to your phone for offline use. This allows you to view detailed map information and navigate using your phone's built-in GPS while you're out on the trail — even when you don't have a data signal!
Open the app and find the route you want (choose one):
- Tap Explore to find a verified route
- Tap Activity to find one of your activities
- Tap Profile and then the Completed tab to find a verified trail you've completed
- Tap Saved and open your custom routes list, custom lists, or favorites list (custom routes that you've created and saved on a desktop or laptop will automatically sync and show in the 'Custom routes & maps' section of the Saved tab)
Download the map:
- Tap the download arrow in the lower-right corner of the card for the route you want to download
- When the circle turns white (in dark mode) or black (in light mode), your download has been completed
- Pick the map type(s) you want to download by tapping the download button again and selecting your preferred map type(s)
Your downloaded maps are stored and accessible in the AllTrails app under Saved > Downloads.
