How to sign up for a free trial

AllTrails Plus or Peak free trial

AllTrails offers base members a 7-day free trial of AllTrails Plus or Peak, allowing them to explore premium features without commitment. During the trial period, you can access these features across multiple platforms and devices.

Important note: If you've previously used a free trial, you'll be automatically billed for an annual subscription upon initiating a new trial. This policy applies regardless of the platform used to activate the trial. Also, if you are a current Plus member, you are not eligible for a Peak trial.

How to activate your free trial

Via iPhone or Android app:

1. Download the app: Install the AllTrails mobile app (free to download)
2. Log in / create account: Sign in or create a free AllTrails account
3. Activate trial:
   • Tap 'Profile' from the bottom navigation bar
   • Tap 'Start your free trial'
   • Follow the prompts to activate the trial, which will be linked to the app store
   • Manage your trial via the Apple App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)

Via desktop or laptop:

1. Log in / create account: Go to AllTrails.com and log in or create an account
2. Activate trial:
   • Click 'Try Plus or Peak for Free' at the top right of any page
   • Select Plus or Peak
   • Enter your credit card information*
   • Click 'Start your free trial' to activate 

*Note: A credit card is required. You'll be charged on the 7th day unless you cancel beforehand.

Eligibility:

• Must not have used a free trial previously
• Lapsed subscriptions aren't eligible
• Current Plus members are not eligible for a trial

How to cancel your free trial: Cancel by the end of the 6th day to avoid being charged for the annual subscription.

Via iPhone app:

1. Go to iPhone's Settings
2. Tap Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Select AllTrails
5. Scroll to the bottom and tap Cancel Subscription
6. Confirm cancellation

Via Android app:

1. Open the Google Play Store app
2. Tap your profile image at the top right
3. Tap Payments & Subscriptions
4. Select Subscriptions
5. Choose AllTrails
6. Tap Cancel Subscription

Via AllTrails.com:

1. Log into your account
2. Hover over your profile image and select Settings
3. Under Account Settings, click Turn off auto-renew
4. Confirm by clicking OK
